This is one of my favorite daylilies from 2011. I have a feeling it will be on my top ten list again this year. I hope everyone enjoys the photo. This is not an optical illusion. The blooms on this daylily are gigantic!
I looked today at the International sites for iris and found that most were in the USA - not one mentioned in UK - perhaps your climate is more comfortable for the flower. This one is gigantic and have never seen anything so huge before. Most that I see here in London are blue/purple and in florists shops - and they die very quickly in a vase! Very few people grow them in their gardens.
I'm sorry you can't grow them there. I'll be sure to post plenty of photos for you. Yes, this daylily is amazing. The picture doesn't do it justice. I'll try to get a better picture this year. What are the popular garden flowers in London?
