The irises are fashionably late.

About Town |
Could this be yet another magic bottle?
Yes, that's a drunken poppy in the background.
What am I going to do with the poppies?
Inherited |
I'm not sure what this inherited daylily looks like.
I bet I'll know tomorrow.
:-)
Drunken poppy, elegant, empty bottle. Party, night and day. Drive carefully.
ReplyDeleteHey Lee! No people or poppies left the premises. :-)
DeleteI have some daylilies that I am anxious to bloom, too, as I don't recall what color they are! In fact, I don't even remember planting them! (Now, that's bad!) Rip City Iris is gorgeous!!! Love that deep dark color.
ReplyDeleteHi Holley, Our unidentified dayliles will be a big surprise for us! Thank you ... I love Rip City too. I'll be sure to post pics of it tomorrow. There's a gardener in Arizona who raves about having Rip City in her garden (has had it for years), so I'll bet it would work for you if you're looking for a new iris. :-)
DeleteOoh The excitement...looking forward to the Grand Opening! x
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, Rip City bloomed today and it's a beauty! I'll be sure to post photos tomorrow (just couldn't quite get my act together today). Hope all is well across the pond for you. x
DeleteOh this is beautiful! Love the deep colouring. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annabelle. 'Rip City' surprises me when it blooms ... it's red. xx
DeleteI was watching something on tv about a man who has devoted his whole garden to lilies of every kind - now that I have seen your photos I can see why - they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elaine. If you ever start collecting them, they'll draw you in.
