What can I say? These daylilies give new meaning to the word "overachiever." I am still in amazement each morning. This continues to be a daylily season to remember in my patch. Magical, bud covered scapes with the promise of blooms until at least the end of September continue to appear (I've never had one bloom past July before). This is the first summer I haven't had to water like crazy. In fact, I've only watered once the whole summer (maybe I did do a daylily dance or two ... shhhh ... it will be our little secret). If only every summer could be like this one. One can wish ... and wish ... sigh. Anyway, I'd like to share some images with you of a few stellar performers currently taking center stage.
Hope you enjoy! :-)

So gorgeous with such amazing colours. They are beautifully captured by you. Good work, both horticulturally and camera wise.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the photos, and thank you for the nice compliments, Stiletto. Your compliments brought a smile to my face. Thanks for stopping by. All the best! :-)
DeleteHey, Beth, how amazing that your daylilies are performing so unusually well. Strange year. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHey, Lee, I am enjoying this fabulous daylily season, indeed.

These are great pics. Love SPACECOAST OJO ROJO!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nikki! Technically, 'Spacecoast Ojo Rojo' belongs to Bill! It caught his eye and he made point to go back to the daylily farm to acquire this one. Speaking of him, I need to see if he's thought about my daylily transporter.

Stunning, love the colors. Would you mind sending them over here for a day lily pep talk? Mine are whoosy, fragile, and pouting all the time.
ReplyDeleteJen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
Thank you, Jen. The daylilies around here are robust enough this year, they could probably make a field trip to visit yours for a pep talk. Just curious, do you like to "rearrange" your daylilies in the garden? I used to do that a lot, and mine have done much better since I've let them stay put in the same spot. Some of mine used to really POUT when I moved them.

Gold medal to the last one...love it!
ReplyDeleteHey, Jane, I love 'Texas Big Bend' too! It never disappoints.

Oh what wonderful blooms.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annabelle. I seem to have an everlasting daylily season this year. I have really been blessed with blooms this summer.

Są piękna, szczególnie podoba mi się drugi. Zrobiłaś im bardzo ładne zdjęcia. U mnie w ogródku niestety liliowce już przekwitły. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, especially like the second one. You made them a very nice picture. With me in the garden, unfortunately, already overblown crinoids. Yours.
Thank you, Giga! I'm so glad you enjoyed the photos. The second one is one of my favorites too, and it is such a great performer. Thank you for the compliment about the nice picture ... I've been trying to improve my photography. Thank you for stopping by.

So beautiful daylilies!!! And the pictures are great! I loved them!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Madrid!
Thank you for the nice compliments, Eva. So glad you visited my blog all the way from Madrid. My daylilies have brought me much joy, and I'm glad you enjoyed the photos as well. I hope you'll visit again. All the best from Alabama! :-)
DeleteHi Beth, I absolutely adore lilies, all types of lilies! I would happily have all three of yours in my garden, I have put them on my very long wish list for next year :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Helene, Thanks for stopping by. From one lover of lilies to another, they're certainly members of garden royalty, aren't they? Glad these are on your wish list as they will not disappoint. Hope your recovery is going well ... all the best! :-)
