I thought it fitting to post about all things green today,
so here are a few special green things in my life today ...
- Hollywood Hall Teapot - Chartreuse - |
I just had to snap this on my way out the door ... one of my many green teapots in my Hall teapot collection. This one is a "Hollywood."
- Glazed Green Pot ... My Favorite Pot! - |
Love this pot! It will soon be planted with impatiens or petunias ...
- The "Weed Bucket" - |
This has become my "weed bucket" ... it will be brimming over again soon with briars, pruning from the palms, and all sorts of evil weeds.
- Dogwood Tree - |
The beautiful dogwood tree ... it has green centers so it counts :-)
- Wooly Lambs Ear - |
- Stella d'Oro Daylily - |
Yippee!
The first buds on a daylily! Although this is not one of my designer daylilies, it's a great daylily to have in the garden. Stella d'Oro is small in stature, a pretty shade of yellow, always the first to bloom in my garden, aaaand it's a repeat bloomer. I'll post bloom pics soon.
- Just a View - |
Just a view of the main daylily bed.
It looks small in this picture to have 88 daylilies in it. This is definitely an optical illusion because it is HUGE when I have to weed it. :-)
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
May the sun shine all day long,
everything go right, and nothing go wrong.
May those you love bring love back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true!
Bethany
Loved looking at the 'green' - I notice that you have had lots of teapots in previous posts - do you collect them?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the 'green' Annabelle! Yes, I do collect teapots. I collect vintage Hall teapots for the most part, but I do have a few others (an authentic gold and white Nippon set that I love). I received the first few Halls from Martha, my late mother-in-law, who used to own an antique shop named "Martha's Back Room." The rest of my collection was found on eBay (21 so far). I will post a pic of my collection soon. It's been over a year since I bought a Hall, so it's time for me to start hunting on eBay soon. What do you collect?
DeleteP.S. Speaking of teapots, I'm drinking a cup of silver needles tea to your health right now (not because of the giveaway ... just because. :-) xx
Do join my giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI collect Emma Bridgewater pottery - and have done so for 25 years - also children, husbands, and cats!
Thanks for drinking to my health - I need the help - this week cancer check is always a real worry for me.
Love to you and yours. xx
I will join the giveaway ... that's such a great idea to have a giveaway. I remember seeing your Emma Bridgewater pottery now ... it's so pretty. Love the rest of the collections. :-)
DeleteYou're very welcome. I will continue to drink to your health. My husband and I had a glass of wine to your health with supper tonight. May the force be with you for your cancer check ... you're in my thoughts and prayers. :-)
Love to your and yours too. XX
