Lily of the Day

Inherited (NOID)

This beauty took my breath away this morning.  I was on my way to work, but had just enough time to snap this photo.  This daylily is inherited and I don't know its name, but it's here to stay.  I love the luscious colors on this one, and think the edging on the petals is quite snazzy.  Hope you enjoy!

  2. The NOiDS are slowly being identified here, too. About 20 lost their tags in our recent move, so as they bloom I am discovering what I didnt know I had lost! LOL. talk soon - nikki

    1. Oh my gosh, it's like you're getting a bunch of new daylilies all over again, isn't it? Psychological re-gifting! Happy gardening, Nikki! :-)

  3. Beth,

Simply stunning. One of the many reasons I have nominated you for the Illuminating Blogger Award. Details on the award can be found at http://foodstoriesblog.com/illuminating-blogger-award/. I find myself returning to your blog over and over again for inspiration and illumination.

  4. Gorgeous colours on your dayliliy, I love all sorts of lilies. Unfortunately we have had a rather dismal spring and so far, summer hasn't really arrived yet in London where I live, so my daylilies are barely in buds. I am waiting for 'Frans Hals' to flower first, as usual :-)

    1. Thank you, Helene! This one is pansy-like to me. I've looked up 'Frans Hals.' What a beauty! I know it will be worth the wait. My daylilies fooled me this year. They didn't bloom in their normal order, but we've had crazy weather so far. Wishing you sunshine and daylilies in London. Thanks for stopping by. :-)

    1. Thank you for your kind words. I inherited this one from my late mother-in-law, Martha. She was quite the gardener as well as a fellow daylily addict. I'm so glad you stopped by to visit, and I noticed Daylily Soup has a new follower. :-) Thanks for following as well. Hope you visit often. I'm getting ready to fly over to your blog for a visit.
